Westfield London in White City, Europe’s largest shopping centre, is home to more than 300 shops, complete with nearly 100 eateries and restaurants, bowling alley, bouldering arena and Vue cinema.

Just seven minutes down the road, open-air-shoppers can browse the stalls at the 110-old Shepherds Bush Market. Venture south to visit North End Road Market or the Hammersmith food market in Lyric Square (Thursdays, 8am to 5pm).

  2. Take a breather at an award-winning park

From the glorious terrain of Wormwood Scrubs in the north of the borough to the sports haven at Hurlingham Park, here is a selection of some of the best.

  3. Grab a pint with a view

Dotted along the H&F riverside are dozens of pubs with first row seats to the Thames – making them excellent vantage points for the annual Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race.

Enjoy a drink with a view at The Blue Anchor and The Rutland Arms right next to the iconic Hammersmith Bridge. Venture further west to pay a visit to the world record holder for the smallest bar in the world, The Dove.

Football fans can catch the first Euro fixture – Scotland v Germany – at The Crabtree near the Fulham FC football grounds.

Chestertons Polo in the Park is also set to return to London this summer on the 7th, 8th and 9th June held at Hurlingham Park, Fulham.  Organisers have offered anyone that attends London Tech Week get £5 off general admission tickets for the event.
