Hannah

Good morning and welcome to day two of London Tech Week. A huge thank you for choosing to come and join us here on the founder stage, when there's so many other brilliant things going on that you could be doing instead. And I'm honored to have the privilege of hosting the founder stage for the entire day today. So do stick with us. My name is Hannah Prevets. I'm a journalist for The Times and The Sunday Times. And I'm lucky enough to spend my days writing about founders and the challenges and opportunities they face as they build their businesses.

I think it's fair to say there have been a number of challenges over the last few years, irrespective of size or sector. Among them, of course, geopolitical instability, rocketing inflation, and scarce capital. But don't worry, that's enough doom and gloom from me. The business leaders I speak to say that the tide is certainly turning and that sentiment is on the up amongst consumers and businesses alike. And there are huge opportunities for growth.

Indeed, we'll be covering lots of those topics here today as London Tech Week has put together a brilliant agenda for you. So we'll be kicking off in just a moment. We're going to hear from a few of the delegation from Dubai, but more on that in just a second. Then we're going to start with a panel discussion on Going Global, which is one of my personal favourite topics to write about. We'll finish the day with another personal favourite, which is all about building dream teams. We all know the huge impact having the right people in the right roles at the right time can have on a startup's chance of success.

There will be lots of other great conversations in between, including one shortly on the nuts and bolts of building a business and another on how to craft a narrative about your business to pitch to investors, customers, or journalists like me. And there will be lots of time for questions, which will be taken by the moderators of each of the sessions. So do keep your thinking caps on and we'll get some mics out in the room to facilitate that.

Hannah:

So first of all, this morning, we're going to hear from two of the delegation here at London Tech Week from Dubai as part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism delegation. And they're each going to have five minutes to tell us all about their businesses.

First up, we have Avneesh. Please come and join us, Avneesh.

Addressing the Language Barrier in Content Creation

What are we really solving here? If you look at the problem of language, particularly in content, it impacts a more than $900 billion industry.

The point is that more content is locked in the English language and fewer people speak that language. There's a need to take content cross-border in a language that the world understands. And that's a problem that we're solving.

AI-Powered Dubbing Platform

We've created an AI dubbing platform riding on top of our own proprietary technologies, which have been built through six plus years of research.

- We have our own proprietary language translation models, BOLI, which do contextual colloquial translations on the fly.

- We have our own speech models, which can do voice cloning on the fly.

- These are all state of the art. They have been trained on millions of hours of data, not just generic data, but very specific nuanced data coming from sports, entertainment, and education.

Real-World Impact

We did a psychological thriller, originally filmed in Arabic language. It was screened at Red Sea Film Festival, and we did zero shot and zero touch coming from our platform. The Arabic movie was put on our platform, out came the Mandarin movie, which ran in theaters across UAE for several weeks.

In January this year, the Australian Open became the first tournament in the world to use AI dubbing. We actually made a number of tennis stars speak multiple languages.

In April, we made history by live streaming the first-ever Major League Soccer game in four languages, simultaneously, real-time, zero shot, zero touch.
