Yining Shen is the Founder and CEO of ProMaterial, a Wales-based deep-tech company bringing AI-powered quality intelligence to precision metals manufacturing. ProMaterial's platform enables industrial manufacturers to automate inspection, improve traceability, and make smarter production decisions at scale.

Yining began her career in AI product leadership at Deutsche Bank and Revolut, where she led the commercialisation of AI products at enterprise scale. A UCL graduate, she founded ProMaterial to address a structural gap she observed firsthand: that the global clean energy transition depends on precision manufacturing processes that remain largely undigitised.

In the UK, ProMaterial has validated its technology with OEM pilot customers, secured patents, and received grant funding from Innovate UK, the European Innovation Council and the Welsh Government. The company is also backed by SFC Capital and British Business Bank. Building on this foundation, Yining is expanding the Asian market in Hong Kong.
