As Interim Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Vipul Hingne leads Booking.com’s global technology strategy, overseeing the company’s platform modernization and innovation efforts to enhance the end-to-end traveler experience, increase operational efficiency and lay the foundations for GenAI-powered innovations.

Vipul joined Booking.com in 2022 where he served as Vice President of Core Platforms, driving platform infrastructure, developer experience and system reliability. Under his leadership, he led engineering teams in building long-lasting systems, gaining invaluable experience that informs the company’s current technology stack modernization efforts.

Prior to joining Booking.com, Vipul held senior leadership roles at PlayStation, where he built and led a global engineering organization developing consumer-facing gaming and entertainment products. Earlier in his career at Microsoft, Vipul worked across the full tech stack of Xbox and was instrumental in building Bing Finance from the ground up for the Windows 7 launch.
