Thomas Clarke is the lead for AI Safety and Security at Faculty. Tom has spent his career at the intersection of data science and security, now helping frontier labs safely deploy the latest models. His portfolio involves performing third party evaluations and leading AI safety research and development, facing the most severe risks from AI, from child safety to biosecurity threats. This builds on 3 years managing AI implementation projects across UK government, from narrow ML to enterprise scale agentic deployments. Before joining Faculty in 2023, he spent six years in the civil service, including leading central forecasting and planning teams at UK Health Security Agency during the pandemic, and roles across data analytics, data quality and governance.
