Sam is Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Unilever, driving the company’s enterprise-wide digital agenda to accelerate business growth, reduce complexity, and build resilience, while leveraging advanced AI capabilities across the business value chain.

She joined Unilever in 2021 as Global Vice President, Applications, leading Enterprise Architecture and Applied Technology development and delivery across all platforms, employee experience, and enterprise operations. She later became Global CIO and expanded her remit to include Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in 2024.

With over 20 years in IT across Telecommunications, Aviation and CPG, her previous roles include CDIO at easyJet, CIO at Telenet, and senior IT leadership roles at Virgin Media.

In 2025, Sam was featured in the Forbes CIO Next List, which recognises the world’s 50 most influential technology leader. She lives between Manchester and London with her family and enjoys cooking, travel and hiking.
