David Lammy is the Deputy Prime Minister, Lord Chancellor, and Secretary of State for Justice, and has been MP for Tottenham, the community where he was born and raised, for over 25 years.
David has dedicated his career to public service, previously serving as Foreign Secretary and holding several ministerial roles across health, culture and higher education. A qualified barrister with degrees from SOAS and Harvard Law School, David is also an author, educator, and leading advocate for social justice. He led the landmark independent Lammy Review into the treatment and outcomes of Black and Minority Ethnic people in the criminal justice system.
David is happily married and the proud father of three children.
