Rodney Berkeley CBE, is the Director for Infrastructure and Technology at the Department for Business and Trade, following his appointment to the role of Director for Energy and Infrastructure in 2019 and subsequent position as Director for Construction, Infrastructure, and Energy. As Director for Infrastructure and Technology he is responsible for promoting growth across energy (renewables, electrical networks, civil nuclear and energy transition), construction and infrastructure (built environment, water, airports and logistics), and strategic technology (future telecoms, AI, semiconductors and quantum).

In the Queen’s 2022 Platinum Jubilee Birthday Honours list Rodney received a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to International Trade and Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) with recognition of his outstanding contribution to Her Majesty’s Government (HMG) for over 35 years.
