Rob Illidge is the CEO and founder of Vulse, the B2B marketing platform for LinkedIn helping senior leaders develop high-impact content.
With over 15 years of experience in social media and digital innovation, Rob launched Vulse to solve a critical gap: empowering executives and founders to communicate effectively on LinkedIn without losing their unique voice. Under his leadership, Vulse has built proprietary technology, including a tone of voice model and account scoring system, enabling professionals to create authentic, brand-aligned content at scale.
Before founding Vulse, Rob ran the global social media agency Social Republic, supporting brands like Disney, NHS, British Red Cross, and eBay. That experience revealed a consistent challenge; leaders struggling to find the time, clarity, or confidence to share thought leadership online. Vulse was born to solve that, using unique technology to do the heavy lifting while keeping the message human.
Rob also led the effort to secure key API partnerships, including with Microsoft and LinkedIn, and oversaw Vulse’s successful funding rounds from SFC Capital and angel investors.
He is passionate about building diverse, mission-driven teams and enabling professionals to grow their digital influence.
Based in Manchester, Rob is a regular speaker on the future of personal branding and employee advocacy in content marketing.
