Rich joined Lloyds Banking Group in August 2023 and is the Business Platform Lead for the Agentic & AI Services Platform. With over 25 years of experience across data, AI, CRM, analytics and product leadership, he now leads the Group’s Platform strategy to scale generative and agentic AI safely and effectively.

Since joining Lloyds Banking Group, Rich has overseen the creation and maturation of the Bank’s Agentic and AI foundations, leading the development and rollout of core platforms including Cortex (LBG’s LLM gateway), GenBI conversational analytics, and Envoy – LBG’s Agentic AI platform enabling governed, reusable AI agents at scale.  Under his leadership, the Group delivered over £50m of Generative AI value in 2025, supporting 50+ use cases and thousands of colleagues. Today, Rich runs a federated platform spanning seven AI labs and more than 20 AI powered products, supporting customer, colleague and operational use cases across all business units and functions.

Prior to Lloyds Banking Group, Rich led the Data and Messaging Value Stream for Global Wealth and Personal Banking at HSBC, delivering The Intelligence Hub on Google Cloud – a retail banking ML and Data platform spanning 14+ markets that generated over $200m in value. His experience also includes leading major global messaging and martech transformations.

Outside of work, Rich is married to Louise and has two teenagers. He enjoys travel and music, and is a ride leader for a local cycling club, where he spends much of his weekends.
