Resham Kotecha

Deputy Chair, Social Mobility Commission

Resham Kotecha is Deputy Chair of the Social Mobility Commission, appointed through the UK Cabinet Office, where she leads the Commission’s workstreams relating to data and AI, shaping research priorities, stakeholder engagement and policy recommendations on how technology can expand opportunity rather than entrench inequality. She also helps steer the Commission’s wider work on skills, education and access to opportunity.

Her previous roles include Director of Communications and Public Affairs at UK Anti-Doping, economic adviser to a Member of Parliament and Minister, and researcher to a Baroness.
She later served as Head of Policy and Government Relations (EMEA) at Wise.

Resham was a member of the Government’s Smart Data Council, was formerly Vice-President of the European FinTech Association, and was selected as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum. She holds an Economics degree from the University of Cambridge.
