Raffael Jovine (Founder & Chief Scientist) founded Brilliant Planet in 2013. Raffael holds a PhD in molecular biophysics and biochemistry related to photosynthesis. He worked at MIT and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, researching algae across the world, and has spearheaded a research team who, thus far, have developed multiple patents relating directly to the company's carbon removal process.
