Helen is a physicist and oceanographer with a passion for science, sport, books, creativity, hot chocolate and investigating the interesting things in life. Helen has both a BSc and PhD from the University of Cambridge.
Helen has a gift of distilling complicated scientific information into interesting and engaging programmes and her TV work includes From Ice to Fire: The incredible Science of Temperature, Sound Waves: The Symphony of Physics, Colour: The Spectrum of Science along with Orbit: Earth’s Extraordinary Journey, Operation Iceberg, Ocean Autopsy as well as various Horizons.
Helen has written 2 books, hosts the Ocean Matters podcast and speaks at events all over the UK and around the world.
