Pat Gelsinger is General Partner of Playground Globak, a deep tech Venture firm with $1.7 billion in assets. He is 45 year a veteran of the industry, semiconductor expert and and former CEO of Intel (2021–2024), who spent over 30 years at the company, including as its first Chief Technology Officer and lead architect of the i486 processor. He later served as CEO of VMware before returning to Intel to lead its turnaround, including the “IDM 2.0” strategy to restore manufacturing leadership, expand global foundry capabilities,
and re-establish the company’s position in advanced chips and AI.
