Nick Russell
Senior Strategic Advisor,
Axiom Space
Nick Russell serves as the Senior Strategic Advisor for the United Kingdom at Axiom Space, where he helps lead the company’s strategic initiatives, including the Axiom Space North West Partnership, Orbital Data Centres, and the potential All-UK astronaut mission. His work supports Axiom’s expanding role in global space infrastructure and international collaboration.
Prior to joining Axiom Space, Russell spent a 20-year career building the infrastructure of the future. He has advised founders, corporates, governments, and venture funds across the United States, Europe, and China, helping build and scale technologies in climate tech, renewable energy, AI, and blockchain.
He was a founder of one of the earliest global real estate technology movements, and played a formative role in developing the UK’s deeptech academic spinout ecosystem. He has catalysed more than $100M in early-stage venture funding, and as the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Conception X, he mentored over 150 of the programme’s venture scientists.
Russell holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He has written and spoken globally on the future of technology and society, with appearances at institutions such as the European Commission, UK Parliament, and media platforms including BBC, CCTV, and the Financial Times.
