Nicolas Sauvage is President & Founder of TDK Ventures, the $500M corporate venture arm of TDK Corporation. He founded the firm in 2019 to back early-stage startups driving innovation in energy and environmental transformation.  Under his leadership, TDK Ventures has invested in 50 startups, including unicorns Groq, Ascend Elements, and Silicon Box. Notable exits include GenCell’s IPO and acquisitions of SLD Laser, Wheels, and Origin.

Nicolas has been named to the Global Corporate Venturing Powerlist five years in a row, most recently ranking #17 in 2024. In 2023, he became one of only two CVCs to join the prestigious Kauffman Fellows network. He serves on several boards including AutoFlight, Faction, Metalenz, and TDK Ventures. Previously, he led key partnerships at InvenSense with companies like Google and Qualcomm. Nicolas studied engineering at ISEN and King’s College London, and is an alumnus of both Stanford GSB and Harvard Business School.
