Nic Lane is co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Flower, a full-stack AI neolab advancing collaborative superintelligence through open-source frontier models, agents, and infrastructure. Its latest achievement is Lizzy, the strongest frontier model ever developed entirely within the UK. More broadly, Flower enables high-performance enterprise AI under distributed compute and data while preserving control and privacy. Nic is also Professor at the University of Cambridge, a Fellow of St John’s College, and holds a Chair at the Royal Academy of Engineering.
