Murad Ahmed is Technology News Editor at the Financial Times. Since 2022, he has directed the work of the FT's tech correspondents in San Francisco, London, Beijing and beyond. He runs the newspaper’s coverage of AI, semiconductors and of the many of the world’s biggest companies. He is a regular host of the FT’s Tech Tonic podcast, co-chair of the FT’s Future of AI summit and editorial director of FT’s Tech for Growth forum. He was previously the Sport’s Editor and is a trustee of Bloomsbury Football Foundation, one of London’s leading sports charities.
He joined the FT in July 2014 as European Technology Correspondent, and had written about the global tech sector for eight years. Prior to the FT, he worked at The Times.
