Dr. Michelle He is the Co-Founder and COO of Abound, a London-based fintech. When she moved to the UK, she was unable to take out a loan to cover moving costs despite having a strong education, job, and salary. This was because the traditional credit scoring system deemed her “credit invisible.” This experience, combined with over a decade at EY helping banks improve their credit decisioning, led her to co-found Abound. Michelle holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence.

Abound expands access to lending by using AI and Open Banking to truly understand the unique financial situation of each individual applicant. The company is a leading UK fintech and was recently ranked number one on The Times Tech 100 list of the fastest-growing companies in 2026.
