Maureen Haverty is a Principal at Seraphim Space, the world’s leading space-focused venture capital firm, where she invests globally across early-stage and growth-stage space companies. She leads investments, serves as board director and board observer, and works closely with founders on strategy, scaling, and execution.
She holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Manchester and began her career as an engineer before joining Apollo Fusion as an early employee. She later became Chief Operating Officer, helping guide the company through a major strategic pivot and ultimately to a $150 million acquisition by Astra on the day of its de-SPAC.
Maureen is currently a board director at ChAI, and a board observer at Atmos Space Cargo and D-Orbit. Her work focuses on backing technically ambitious teams building critical infrastructure and applications across the space economy.
Her insights on the future of the space industry were recently featured in Dominic O’Connell’s column in The Times, and she spoke at Web Summit 2025 on “Space as a Strategic Frontier.”
