British Entrepreneur, Public Servant & Digital Leader

Martha Lane Fox is an entrepreneur, crossbench peer, and digital leader whose career spans technology, policy, and business. She co‑founded lastminute.com, one of Europe’s first major e‑commerce successes, and later became the UK’s Digital Champion, helping to create the Government Digital Service and GOV.UK while driving digital inclusion nationwide. She also co‑founded Lucky Voice, bringing tech‑enabled karaoke to consumers.

Her board roles ranged from startups to global brands, including Channel 4, Marks & Spencer, wetransfer andTwitter. She currently sits on boards of British Airways, Chanel, and Multiverse. In the House of Lords she chaired the committee on Covid‑19’s long‑term impact and was a member of the national security strategy committee.

Martha has just finished her term as President of the British Chambers of Commerce and Chancellor of The Open University. She supports the organisations Just for Kids Law, Camfed, AbilityNet, and I Am the Code, advancing digital equity and opportunity.
