Marla is the founder of HERmesa, an angel syndicate that supports women angel investors in the UK. HERmesa encourages participation by women (& interested men!) in backing women-(co)founded businesses at seed stage. As an entrepreneur, Marla has worked over 15 years in media and technology and specialize in building sustainable, revenue-generating businesses. She has worked in the US, UK, Europe and sub-Saharan Africa with everyone from sole founders with an idea to large corporations trying to innovate and adapt to new technologies. She has also started my own media technology advisory business, Front Yard Consulting. Marla is a mentor to young entrepreneurs through the Imperial College London’s Venture Mentoring Service & the UK Space Agency.
