Mark Chaban
Mark Chaban is the General Manager of the Customer Success Organization and the CTO at Microsoft, Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa.
A Transformational Leader and Customer Success Innovator at heart, Mark drove break-through projects in the region as well as the establishment of multiple Azure Regions. Leading a technical community of 700+ Customer Success Account Managers, Cloud Solution Architects, Customer Success Managers and Customer Engineers who span across the Microsoft suite of cloud solutions and services - Azure, Security, Modern Work, Business Applications and Support offerings - to enable customers' success by maximizing their business value through cloud adoption acceleration and growth.
Mark has over 25 years of industry experience starting with General Motors and IBM, and spent the last 20 years at Microsoft, occupying numerous executive roles in the United States Headquarters, Middle East & Africa (MEA) and Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEMA) region. In his prior role, as the MEA General Manager and CTO of the Customer Success Unit he covered a $2.6 billion territory driving consumption and usage across all Enterprise suite of products. Prior to that, Mark headed the Solutions Sales Unit as General Manager and CTO where he covered a $1.5 billion territory driving new cloud business across Middle East and Africa for Microsoft.
Since 2017, Mark has also been leading the Responsible AI efforts in Microsoft MEA, on Sensitive Use cases, putting the responsible AI principles into practice through the Office of Responsible AI (ORA), the AI Ethics, and Effects in Engineering and Research (AETHER) Committee, and Responsible AI Strategy in Engineering (RAISE).
