Lisa Shu is a Venture Partner at Deep Science Ventures and the Founding Executive Director of the Newton Venture Program. Born from a joint venture between London Business School and LocalGlobe VC: Newton offers inclusive investor training across the global venture ecosystem to make the practice of early-stage startup investing widely accessible; to date Newton has trained over 800 practicing venture capitalists and emerging managers worldwide.

A trusted board advisor to early-stage startups, Lisa Shu was previously a professor at London Business School where she taught the MBA Negotiations course for 10 years and transformed thousands of reluctant negotiators into Confident Deal Architects. She is deeply passionate about empowering deep tech founders to cross over the bridge from PhD-to-VC scale impact.
