Kevin Cassar

Chief Data & AI Officer, TalkTalk
Kevin leads TalkTalk's enterprise data and AI strategy. His focus is on building the data foundations, architectures, and platforms that enable teams across the business to turn data into actionable insight, improve decision making and deliver tangible business value.
 
He works closely with business and technology leaders to enable development of data products that bring together operational, network, and customer data and leverage AI methods to be embedded directly into how the organisation operates. His work spans modern data architecture, scalable analytics platforms, MLOps capability, and responsible AI governance.
 
Prior to TalkTalk, Cassar led data science and advanced analytics teams at AXA Health, where he led global data teams that unlocked commercial benefits through improved operational efficiencies, reduced costs, optimised policy prices and preventing fraud through leveraging AI methods.
 
Previously, he held data leadership and technical specialist roles at the Financial Conduct Authority, where he was instrumental in building a new department from concept to full operation. While at the regulator, he led teams in using advanced analytics, machine learning and AI methods to improve operational performance, regulatory insight, and fraud detection.
 
His expertise combines both leadership and a practitioner’s technical perspective on how organisations can operationalise real-time data and AI to drive business innovation, alongside foundational career experience in finance as an equity analyst and risk management specialist.
