Project Nemo
Joanne Dewar is Founder and Project Lead for Project Nemo, a pro bono grass roots initiative to encourage the fintech industry to accelerate Disability Inclusion and Accessibility. Launched at IFGS in April 2024, Project Nemo initially leveraged Joanne's profile and network to influence the industry from within and has now established significant momentum with a library of resources for the industry, a significant following and growing evidence of tangible traction.
Prior to Project Nemo, Joanne has been firmly at the centre of the Fintech revolution as former CEO of Global Processing Services (GPS), now Thredd, providing the initial underlying processing infrastructure to the likes of Revolut, Starling, Monzo, and Curve. In her time at GPS, Joanne enjoyed the fruits of progressive DEI including proactively leaning in to disability inclusion.
