Janet leads the Business Growth activity for London & Partners promoting London as a hub of diversity and a great place to innovate, invest and scale a business.   She is passionate about supporting businesses to connect with international markets and has a particular focus on driving economic growth that is sustainable, resilient and inclusive.  Janet co-founded Grow London Global, a programme that supports over 300 UK scale ups a year to win international business.  She was in the Computer Weekly Hall of Fame in 2023 and was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s platinum Jubilee honours for services to the economy in June 2022.

 She was previously a diplomat for the UK Government, serving in several posts including Washington, San Francisco, Prague, Cape Town, Mumbai and Jakarta.  Janet also led the London Business Hosting programme during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.
