Jane Wakefield
Jane Wakefield has been a technology journalist for more than 20 years, most of these spent at the BBC. She has covered all aspects of the tech industry, from start-ups and innovations, through to tech regulation and the dominance of big tech to the impact of the internet on culture. As well as writing for the BBC news website, Wakefield has also presented World Service radio programmes and made documentaries for World TV.
Highlights of her long career include being the first UK journalist to interview a sex robot, covering a new type of drone technology as it made its maiden flight across Lake Victoria and visiting cities around the world to see how they are using tech to improve lives. She is also a regular at some of tech's biggest conferences, including Web Summit and TED.
