Ivan Zhao is Co-founder and CEO of Notion. He created the company with his co-founders in 2013, initially focusing on productivity tools like documents, databases, calendars, email, and more. In 2025, he launched Notion 3.0, which introduced custom AI agents for knowledge work. Under his leadership, Notion has grown into a global leader in AI-powered collaboration and productivity software, with 100 million users worldwide and 94% of the Forbes AI 50 running on Notion. Prior to Notion, Ivan worked as a product designer at the education publishing startup Inkling. He holds a degree in cognitive science from the University of British Columbia.
