Hamish Shephard
Hamish Shephard is an entrepreneur, founder and dad who has spent the last two decades building companies from scratch. He started out in investment banking, but quickly realised that staring mindlessly at spreadsheets all day wasn’t for him.
He has since helped launch more than a dozen businesses. From co-founding HelloFresh, which delivered over a billion meals last year, to founding Bridebook, which helps plan 10,000 weddings a week around the world, to Lazada in South East Asia which sold to Alibaba, to many others.
Along the way, Hamish has learned the highs and lows of entrepreneurship - from raising investment and building teams, to battling through failures and celebrating breakthroughs, to moving extremely fast! He’s passionate about showing the next generation that entrepreneurs aren’t superheroes, just people who dare to start.
When he’s not working on new ideas, Hamish is helping his wife Rosie grow her own two businesses, and raising their three young children - which, according to him, is the most challenging start-up of all.
