Gabriel is the Chief Data Officer / Vice President for the Data Office at the LEGO Group, bringing over 15 years experience in leading data teams and helping organisations realise the value of their data. His role is to help the organisation take advantage of data and machine learning. Gabriel is also a guest lecturer at London Business School and a former Independent Commissioner at the UK’s Geospatial Commission.
He has advised start-ups and VCs on data and machine learning strategies. Before the LEGO Group, Gabriel was the Chief Data Officer at Ocado Technology and before that he held senior data roles at the BBC, notonthighstreet and Tesco.
Gabriel was named AI Expert of the Year in by Digital Leaders in 2024 and one of the top people in data by both DataIQ and HotTopics in 2024 and 2025.
Gabriel has a MA in Mathematics from Cambridge and an MBA from London Business School.
