Faisal Hamady is a Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He is a core member of BCG's global Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice leadership, where he is the global lead of the Digital Economy topic, the global lead for Innovation for Economic Development topic, and the Middle East lead for Tech-innovation. Faisal's portfolio includes go-to-market approaches, growth strategies, and transformations for private and public sector clients across several international markets including Europe, US, SE Asia, and Middle East. His most recent work focuses on the intersection of technology innovation and economic development. In this area, he advised state ministers, board members, and c-suite leaders on the design and activation of multi-billion dollar national-level transformations and economic strategies (including digital economy, ICT, deep tech and artificial intelligence, space/satellite, radio frequency spectrum) as well as the development of targeted programs and policy tools (including ecosystem development funds, emerging tech localization initiatives, innovation districts). Faisal is active in pro-bono work, having worked with organizations like Unicef on their social agenda and fund raising strategies. He serves on the technical review panel for several industry associations (such as EDAS, IEEE) and is the author of numerous publications and thought leadership pieces on policy measures to drive socio-economic growth leveraging digital, deep-tech, and innovation. His work has been presented in 20+ conferences/forums and featured in 50+ media outlets. Before joining the firm, Faisal worked at Intel (USA) as a platform engineer. He also cofounded Bringo, a digital retail startup.
