Elizabeth Seger
Elizabeth works to advance AI policy that underpins innovation and unlocks public value, while addressing the societal and capability risks associated with advanced systems. Her focus spans democratic resilience, cybersecurity and open-source policy, ensuring governance frameworks both facilitate technological progress and safeguard public interests.
Before joining TBI, Elizabeth was Director of Digital Policy at Demos where she co-founded a network that coordinates cross-civil-society responses to AI-related information threats. Prior to this, she published agenda-setting research on open-source AI policy with the Centre for the Governance of AI.
Elizabeth holds a PhD in Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge, focused on trust in health-care related AI applications.
