Nigel Steward is Director and Professor of Practice at the Centre for Sectoral Economic Performance (CSEP) at Imperial College London. He joined Imperial after a 36-year career in industry spanning R&D, Energy and Climate Change, Supply Chain, Technical Capability Building, and global Operations Leadership. Over his career, Nigel has led international businesses across Technology Transfer, Equipment Manufacturing, Electrode Manufacturing for the aluminium industry, and Copper and Diamonds production. Prior to joining Imperial, he served as Chief Scientist of Rio Tinto. A Materials Scientist by training, he completed both his degree and doctorate at Imperial.
