Originally from an agricultural family, David left his career in Investment Banking to fix farming for good. Vertical farming, a high-tech method of growing crops indoors using less water, soil, and pesticides, seemed like a great way to start. After bootstrapping a pilot and seeing how much energy it takes to maintain an optimal indoor growing environment, David and his founding team understood the need for powering these farms more sustainably. Now, they've developed a circular solution to growing fresh produce, using food waste as the primary source of energy, nutrients, and CO2.
