With over 25 years’ experience in Formula 1, Chris has played a pivotal role in shaping the sport’s global technical and strategic landscape. As Director of IT, he leads the development and execution of technology strategy and IT delivery across race, and corporate environments, ensuring resilient, scalable, and high performing operations for every Formula 1 race worldwide.
Chris specialises in driving complex transformation programmes, modernising digital workplaces and infrastructure to enable streamlined, secure, and globally connected operations. He has been at the forefront of AI adoption within Formula 1, championing the integration of Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI, and Machine Learning to enhance race operations, customer data platforms, and corporate systems. His leadership in customer data operations has enabled more intelligent, data-driven decision-making and high-value fan and
partner engagement.
A strong advocate of innovation balanced with governance, Chris ensures that technology initiatives align with corporate governance frameworks, including ISO27001 standards, while maintaining a robust business continuity programme across the organisation. His expertise in cybersecurity and operational risk management underpins the protection of critical systems and sensitive data in a high-profile global environment.
Chris has led the delivery of low-latency global networks that enable fully remote race operations and has been instrumental in repositioning Formula 1’s broadcast capabilities back to the UK. He continues to evolve Formula 1’s Martech stack in collaboration with strategic partners, driving growth and commercial success through advanced technology platforms.
