Dr. Chad Edwards is the Co-Founder and CEO of CuspAI, a frontier AI lab using AI to accelerate materials discovery. A deep-tech builder at the intersection of high-level research and commercial scale, he holds a PhD in Quantum Chemistry and an MBA.
Previously, Chad was a commercial leader a Cambridge Quantum, scaling the firm from 14 to 550+ employees and through its merger with Honeywell to form Quantinuum ($10B). Before that, he worked at Google Quantum AI and BASF.
At CuspAI, Chad has raised over $200M raised from NEA, Temasek and NVIDIA’s N Ventures among others. The company’s goal is to build an autonomous discovery engine to solve planetary-scale physical AI challenges across semiconductors, energy, and climate.
