Cengiz Üçbenli is currently the Group Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Centrica, the parent company of British Gas and Hive, serving over 10 million residential and business customers, making it the largest energy provider in the UK. With more than 15 years of experience across the finance, telecommunications, and energy sectors in New York, Istanbul, and, most recently, London, he excels in leading data and AI-driven strategies to enhance digital transformation, customer experience, and support net-zero initiatives.

His leadership has built high-performing analytics teams globally, delivering innovative data solutions to address complex business challenges. Before joining Centrica, he held key roles at Vodafone, BBVA, and American Express, focusing on data analytics, insights, and artificial intelligence.

Cengiz holds a Ph.D. in Project Finance from Columbia University, an MBA in Finance from Boğaziçi University, and a BSc from Istanbul Technical University.
