Ben Averis joined Yoto in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer, responsible for Finance, Operations and Supply Chain, and providing the strategic support which has seen triple digit growth for Yoto. Ben has helped the company explore ways to fund fast growth while lowering the cost of capital as the business matures. He also is Executive sponsor for AI and ESG steering committees. Ben started his career in finance with professional services giant PwC, where his work in mergers & acquisitions helped him understand the challenges of scaling a business while retaining core values. Before joining Yoto, he held numerous senior roles in private equity backed consumer brands, including at Audley Travel where he helped double sales and EBITDA in the four years to 2019 and set a path to financial recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic. Ben is passionate about Yoto and the power of audio for kids. In his role as CFO he is focused on ways to break down barriers to growth, democratising data and driving a high performance culture - using technology to augment his teams’ ability to deliver outsized returns by optimising internal systems architecture. A father of three boys, Ben and his family particularly enjoy every musical soundtrack (Encanto right now!) and of course, the Yoto Daily podcast.
