One of the CIO100 Global Award winners, Arshad Farhad is a leading figure in digital healthcare, with over 20 years of experience in healthcare and clinical IT, specialising in AI, advanced analytics, and data‑driven transformation. He spent 14 years in senior leadership roles within the UK National Health Service (NHS), driving major digital and AI‑enabled innovations across clinical, research, and operational domains. As CTO & Practice Lead for Healthcare and Life Sciences at Dell Technologies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), he helps healthcare systems, research institutions, and biopharma organisations harness AI, advanced analytics, and intelligent platforms to improve clinical outcomes and efficiency. He is also an inventor, with multiple globally patented methods in advanced adaptive federated learning and serves as an advisor to several national and international bodies, including the European Health Data Space (EHDS) initiative. An active researcher with over 20 publications and multiple patents, he is currently pursuing a PhD in Data Science & AI and holds an MPhil from the University of Oxford. His latest book, Nurturing Health: Unleashing the Potential of Generative AI Strategies, outlines a strategic roadmap for adopting generative AI in healthcare and life sciences.
