Doctor-turned-entrepreneur Anas Nader is on a mission to revolutionise healthcare staffing and make flexible work for medical staff compatible with a sustainable NHS. Having witnessed the NHS staffing crisis first-hand, he stepped back from medicine alongside co-founder Jing Ouyang to build Patchwork Health - a digital solution to support clinicians and managers. Since then, Patchwork has enabled 50,000+ healthcare staff to gain access to more flexible work, and saved the NHS over £120m in staffing costs. The company has raised £27m in funding to date, and is backed by investors such as Praetura Ventures and BMJ New Ventures. In 2024, Patchwork was recognised as HSJ’s Workforce and Wellbeing Initiative of the Year. Anas is a former Darzi Fellow in Clinical Leadership and a former Clinical Innovation & Improvement Fellow
