Before founding XARlabs, Dr. Haddad co-founded the GoodSAM app, a globally adopted platform that crowd-sources life-saving first responders and integrates emergency-services dispatch.

As a practicing neurosurgeon and clinical entrepreneur at the NHS, Dr. Haddad brings firsthand insight into the challenges faced by surgeons and patients. His vision for XARlabs is rooted in a commitment to advancing surgical precision and accessibility. His work has resulted in a patent in augmented reality for surgical navigation, widespread adoption across the NHS, and global use cases within the company’s first year. He has pioneered mixed-reality techniques—including the world’s first automated MR prosthesis design—which have been used in the separation of conjoined twins as part of an international charitable initiative.

Dr. Haddad earned his bachelor’s degree from Imperial College London and completed his medical training at the University of Warwick, followed by most of his neurosurgical residency at Imperial College NHS Trust. His accolades include the Lewis Spitz Surgeon Scientist Research Grant (NIHR), The Pridgeon Research Medal (Warwick), the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 Special Award, and the Imperial College Gold Medal for Outstanding Student Achievement.
