Ailsa has spent eight years at Trainline, progressing from middle manager to the number two role in Finance, having now covered every part of the function across that time. She's seen the business through private equity, an IPO exit, and a global pandemic. Before Trainline, Ailsa trained as a Chartered Accountant in audit across mid-tier and Big 4 firms before moving into industry.

She's loves working in Tech, drawn to the speed, the quality of people and culture, and the bias for action and executing new ideas. She sees AI as a genuine step change for Finance functions in terms of automation and management of risk, and she is as interested in the hard questions it raises as the opportunities it creates.
