Abdulaziz received his BS and MS Degrees in Computer Engineering and his PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Miami, Florida. His research is focused on machine learning techniques and their applications, such as: the detection of fake news in Arabic social media, partnering with Aljazeera news; detection of hypoglycemia in diabetics, jointly with Weill Cornell Medicine- Qatar; and restoring cultural heritage images of the Museum of Islamic Arts. He received several research grants culminating in top-tier publications. He also served as an editor for data analytics books, and is currently an active member in several national level committees.
