Maria Enrica Angelone

Maria Enrica Angelone is the CEO of Wallife, a start-up that develops innovative insurance products to protect people against risks deriving from new technologies and innovation. She was appointed CEO in November 2021 and has led the strategic growth of the company through two finance rounds, raising €16m. In September 2022, she led the launch of Wallife’s first product, an insurance coverage that protects individuals against digital identity theft thanks to an innovative technology that prevents and detects frauds and mitigates user's risk.

Before Wallife, Maria Enrica had always worked in high tech and fast-growing companies.  She had a 20-year corporate career as CFO supporting founders in scaling their businesses globally. In 2005, she was appointed CFO of Venere.com, an online travel agency based in Rome acquired by Expedia Group; in 2010, she was appointed CFO of Octo Telematics, the leading global player in insurance telematics. In 2019 she became CFO of Suse Linux GMBH and collaborated in the carve-out that transformed the company into the leading player in the market.

 She is passionate about innovation and scale-ups, angel investors in several start-ups, member of the investment advisory committee of the Luiss Alumni for Growth Deal Club She is part of the Academy of the 24 Ore Business School and of the Corporate Advisory Board of the Executive MBA in Rome (born from the partnership between MIP Politecnico di Milano and John Cabot University). She published her first book in 2022 dedicated to scale ups to share her experience and help start-ups to achieve success. She holds a Degree in Economics from LUISS Guido Carli University.
