
Karina Govindji
Karina is the Senior Director for Global Workforce Diversity for Google. Her role involves overseeing Regional Diversity Directors, bringing together America, Canada, Latin America, APAC, and EMEA to align with Google’s LEAD (leading through Equity &diversity) strategy and objectives.
Prior to this role, Karina led Diversity, Equity Inclusion & belonging across Google EMEA, Latin America and Canada, enabling an environment of belonging for 30,000 Googlers in over 40 countries.
Before joining Google, Karina was the Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Vodafone.
Previously Karina spent 10 years at Gallup as a consultant advising organisations and senior executives on employee engagement.
Karina’s career started with 7 years on the Graduate Scheme at Kingfisher. Karina has a BA Hons in Social and Political Science from Cambridge University and a postgraduate Business Diploma from Oxford University.
In 2017, Karina was awarded the Power of Women award for Diversity & Inclusion and in 2014, Karina was the winner of the Asian Woman of Achievement Award for Business.
