Idalia at Pillar Hall 

Idalia sits on the ground floor of Pillar Hall: a 300-cover all-day restaurant and bar set within one of the building’s most striking spaces. The name was once adopted by Aphrodite, the Olympian goddess of love and beauty- and we like to think our designer, Robert Angell, has done her proud! The dramatic Grade II*-listed space unfolds from a conservatory dining space and adjacent garden room into a central bar, before opening into a dining room warmed by a glowing fireplace. Open seven days a week for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, Idalia’s Modern British menus celebrate the UK’s best suppliers, including English wines, while welcoming broader global influences. The food comprises both classic British dishes and others that surprise.
